ABSTRACT

The theme of facts of life in life cycles of female development is full of traps: on one hand it is important that people are not talking in the following about the goal of a normative femaleness, which excludes all elements of the male or sees female development as a deficit variation of male development, as formerly was the case in psychoanalysis. Women react to certain facts of life in their biography with different internal reality, which amalgamates both the physical, psychic, and social reality. The individual culture, naturally, also plays an essential role in the process. The influence of actual physical experience can be to instigate significant changes in the internal world. Many mothers who experience this separation from their daughters and see their attention to a man as mischief, are seemingly angry, feel robbed, and like Demeter demand “temples” for themselves, desirous of reverence and obedience.
