ABSTRACT

The notion of gender has de-reified the biological and, after a long period of gender binarism, queer theory questions it and postulates multiplicity beyond the dichotomy of genders. Anna Freud underscored the double possibilities of identification in every individual, from which psychic bisexuality results. Historically, male bias pushed nothingness into the female sex with the facilitation of the non-visibility of the woman's sex, folded inward. The female sex came to represent nothingness as a projection of masculine cultural dominance that was too preoccupied with projecting into women lack, emptiness, nothingness and the negative of "having" the phallus venerated by all cultures as a symbol of fertility. The creator is one "who has free play of all the variables of the sexual in thought and who has the luck or intelligence to use at the right moment whatever is required in each phase of the work".
