ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the international overlap between competition policy and trade. The central theme of the chapter is that, due to increasing linkages with trade policy, effective enforcement of competition disciplines requires international cooperation. The chapter investigates bilateral and multilateral efforts of competition regulators to create an international regime for cooperation in competition policy. These efforts emphasize the need for procedural and substantive convergence in national competition policies.
