ABSTRACT

The role of education and science in solving the problem of sustainable development is critical. The model shows possible systemic synergistic effects of the international educational and scientific links. Systemic approach is directly connected to the innovative development of the country. The experience of studying sustainable development in separate countries has a short history. Natural and social scientists have highlighted a series of sustainable development issues and recommended integrated policy action and commensurate means of implementation, such as technology, finance, capacity building and trade. Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Strong sustainability is an alternative model of sustainable development in which economy is embedded in society; society and economy are embedded in the ecological sphere. The university’s contribution to innovation in economic and social development is the heart of the entrepreneurial university concept.
