ABSTRACT

Systems analytics seem to provide a new label for the well-known systems approaches and cybernetic models; in times of the so-called digital transformation new technological possibilities come into sight. Systems analytics need to go hand in hand with systemic inquiry. These points at the fundamentals of the epistemological turn in social sciences and social systems research. The number one critical success factor for systemic change in the Anthropocene is the ability to meet and handle social complexity. The generation of the so-called millennials and digital natives is amused to see the cumbersome layouts and petty aesthetics of the systemic modeling tools on the market. Successful systemic change is a question of exploring realms of possibilities to move from a practice to a better practice. Systemic change unfolds step by step carefully observing context and emergence, dynamics and conditions. The rest is systemic project management.
