ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the results of macroeconomic analysis of poverty problems at the level of world countries, within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the world at large. The approach is proposed for evaluation measures against poverty at the level of countries, EAEU and the world on the basis of parametric control theory and a multi-country global hybrid econometric model of the world economy. Based on the estimated Model the evaluation of poverty indicators was implemented at the level of countries of the world, within the EAEU and the world as a whole for the past and medium-term forecast period, which are consistent with the known data. A number of extreme problems to combat poverty at the country level, within the EAEU and the world were formulated and solved based on the estimated Model and parametric control theory, where the optimization criterion is GDP per capita at purchasing power parity.
