ABSTRACT
This chapter explores de-colonizing theater, welcome table casting, and the emergence of Portuguese (Luso, Lusa) theater in the US and Canada. It is written by an Azorean Portuguese woman writer, who collaborated with South Asian, African-Canadian, Musqueam, Brazilian and Portuguese actors on her plays in New York, Lisbon, the Azores, Vancouver, Victoria, and Los Angeles.
