ABSTRACT
National contradictions in Manipur have passed through different historical phases marked by different forms of contestations, and the future is not likely make a drastic change either. The trend is likely to continue as long as the root of contestation remains – the dominant trend of nationalizing political space through monolithic national consciousness.
