ABSTRACT

Ms. Morrell was raped in Massachusetts when she was twenty years old. She was first interviewed three or four months after it happened and then again, a year later. Ms. Morrell's mother is black and her father white. She is very light skinned, and people are sometimes confused about her racial identity. She, however, considers herself black, and that is where her identity lies. Ms. Morrell replied during interview that the rapist saw himself as a white liberal, and he thought he was going to help all black people, but he is an extreme racist. When she asked about how she perceived her rapist's personality and his motivation. She replied definitely there was a master-slave thing going on. She thinks a lot of white men really want to screw a black woman.
