In this chapter we describe and apply a log-linear model of the mobility table…. The model permits us to locate groups or clusters of cells in the classification that share similar chances of mobility or immobility, freed of the confounding influences of the relative numbers of men in each origin or destination category and of changes in those relative numbers between origin and destination distributions.
