ABSTRACT
In this chapter eight children, all originally diagnosed as autistic are described. Recorded observations of the children in the classroom situation, subsequently referred to the relevant specialists, led to a more explicit diagnosis being arrived at for each of these children. Some guidance as to how to make these observations is offered to the teacher. The later history of the children is briefly outlined.
