ABSTRACT
Feminist economics is a way of doing economics that takes women and difference into account. The foundations of feminist economics were established research on the wage gap, women’s labor force participation rates, and the value of unpaid domestic labor. Today it is comprised of several subfields including labor economics, domestic labor and care work, development economics, the history of economic thought, and methodology. It is an interdisciplinary field in the empiricist tradition.
