ABSTRACT
This chapter investigates debates about what it is that makes a social science methodology feminist. It considers how feminist critique challenges both epistemological and ontological disciplinary norms and assumptions in the social sciences and whether these challenges favor either a qualitative or quantitative approach. It ultimately argues that feminist emancipatory aims favor methodological pluralism.
