ABSTRACT
Are conventional paper and microformat serials going to disappear? Two articles, appropriately titled “New Look of Magazines” 1 and “CD-ROMs: The Laser’s Edge in Data Storage” 2 exemplify the blooming of electronic serials in 1987. The intention of this paper is to inspire additional questions rather than to provide answers as to how the bibliographic control of serial microcomputer files should be accomplished.
