ABSTRACT

We describe teacher candidate engagement in intercultural dialogue through both more traditional study abroad experiences in Italy and Cuba and virtual collaborative opportunities with faculty and K-12 students from Spain, Western Sahara, Norway, the Netherlands, Morocco, South Africa, the Philippines, India, and Argentina. We integrated global-mindedness in our teacher education program through a specially designed “medial framework”. We discovered that the value of intercultural dialogue and collaboration goes beyond the medium and physical space.
