ABSTRACT
The International Graduate Program for Educators at SUNY Buffalo State facilitates a master's degree for teachers in international PK-12 schools. The program is grounded in advanced teacher development, global competencies, and peaceable resolution to conflict and is currently active in Argentina, Brazil, China, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Mozambique, Myanmar, Philippines, Qatar, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Venezuela and Zambia. This chapter introduces IGPE, orients readers to our design and curriculum, discusses program challenges, proposes essential attributes for launching similar programs, and elaborates on our promotion of global competencies.
