ABSTRACT

The Paris Agreement sets a target for global action on climate change after 2020, which will bring about a series of profound impacts and changes for the signatories to formulate corresponding policies and implementation mechanisms. This chapter compares Sino-India industrialization and urbanization, energy consumption structure transformation on the influence of its carbon emissions, and using the latest statistical data analysis of the basic carbon emission from the two countries. On this basis, the chapter expounds the respective characteristics of Sino-India low-carbon development policy and carbon emission reduction mechanism and provides mutual reference.
