ABSTRACT

The Indian Parliament added the provisions of environmental protection in the 42nd Constitutional Amendment of 1974 and regarded it as the basic functions and obligations of the government, marking the beginning of Indian environmental legislation at the national level. The Environmental Protection Law is a law that is inevitable for Chinese companies investing in India with strict compliance. Moreover, due to differences in investment policies among various states in India, the requirements of different states for environmental protection for foreign companies are not completely consistent.
