ABSTRACT

There are many different statements of the Reconstruction Theory. The statement in this chapter attempts to be somewhat inclusive of the various forms of the theory. The reconstruction theory is very old and has been taught by the conservative church over a long period of time. The chapter discusses of Genesis and is something like this: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth perfect, ready for the habitation of man. God gave them time to multiply and fill the earth. Plants in the sea necessarily became quite abundant before fish could live. Plants on the land necessarily became abundant before the creation of land animals. The argument that God is not wasteful, and he would be wasteful if he created plants for food long before there were animals or man to use them, is a philosophical argument which is meaningless.
