ABSTRACT
The group of Earth sciences designated by the general term ‘Geology’ presents many problems and has produced many a conflict in the mind of the student in his effort to correlate geological teaching with his Biblical background. In any case such evidences are descriptive of end products and can be shown to be in harmony with evolution if that theory can be proved by some other means. It is only in the fields of paleontology and historical geology that a sufficient time-lapse is demonstrable to provide evidence for validating or invalidating the evolutionary hypothesis. The Bible may be regarded as a complement to geology by supplying the comprehensive plan and causation. Geology serves as a complement to the Bible by providing a wealth of detail to amplify the outline of Genesis. The realm of the supernatural is essentially the realm of the spirit. Spiritual things must be spiritually discerned, and are opaque to any other sort of inspection.
