ABSTRACT

With inflatable domes, floating structures, land art and explosive media performances, the countercultural art and architecture group Ant Farm, pioneered a new form of experimental practice. In this conversation between generations, Amale Andraos and Dan Wood of WORKac speak with founding members Chip Lord and Curtis Schreier about Ant Farm’s origins, influences, and how their radical environmentalism could offer paths forward out of today’s climate crisis.
