In this digital age, where our lives are increasingly lived online, and the world’s most valuable companies are all in tech, the lure of Silicon Valley is a powerful one. But what can you offer as an architect? Blake Hudelson and Gavin Johns established the organisation Architechie as an answer to this question. Here, they offer eight ways an architecture degree is relevant in tech – from the similarity of the design process to ‘scrappiness’ – and urge other designers to follow them by making the leap.
