ABSTRACT
A training in architecture is as much about learning how to design as it is about learning how to think. In this personal and reflective piece, Scott Paterson explains his twisting path from conventional practice to working for the world’s foremost design agencies, Frog Design and IDEO, and ultimately to set up his own consultancy. Throughout it all, Paterson has challenged his own assumptions, stretching his expertise into the realm of design thinking.
