ABSTRACT

Where is the edge of architecture? Can a line be drawn around it, to (decide what’s in and what’s out? Andrés Jaque, visiting professor at Princeton University and founder of the Office for Political Innovation, is dedicated to transgressing this boundary. Through his work in theory, practice, and education, Jaque reveals connections between architecture and sexuality, identity, ecology, technology, real estate, climate change and more. In Jaque’s hands, architecture is reconceived as a ‘constellation’, a field of vectors reaching beyond building into the culture of life.
