ABSTRACT

In 1994, the Weisslers produced a revival of Grease. After a strong Broadway box office opening, advance ticket sales eventually started heading south. With Grease, a show comprised of multiple principals and supporting roles; the Weisslers had the perfect show to implement Stunt casting. Many potential patrons may have attended or participated in a production of Grease at their local high school or community theatres, or seen the immortal film, which also includes numerous celebrity cameos. In Stunt casting, a celebrity is hired with little or no stage training or experience. Stunt casting always takes the celebrities’ stardom and their ability to sell tickets into consideration before their ability to do the job successfully.
