ABSTRACT
The world is experiencing a successful and indispensable paradigm shift at all levels to save the earth’s environment from the climate change. One hundred and ninety-five countries signed the ambitious Paris Agreement to combat and strengthen the global response to the possible precarious outcomes of climate change. The flagrancy of climate change is inspiring young individuals to speak against it and support the sustainability cause. In accordance with the United Nations, the following issue will play a crucial role in protecting the environment, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and safeguarding the planet earth. Under the Paris Agreement, the central focus is on taking measures that keep the global temperature considerably below 2 degrees Celsius, which is above the pre-industrialized level. Coal-fired power plants are one of the main contributors of greenhouse gases emissions as well as providers of cheap energy.
