I watch a recording of the event as she navigates the stage space, swings her hips, and raises her chest, and I claim her words as mine. 2 Donning her iconic, hip hugging, purple jumpsuit, she takes a sharp inhale before transitioning into “Como La Flor” as part of her last live performance at the Houston Astrodome in 1995.
