Angola’s transition from war to economic powerhouse

This chapter explores the ways in which political crisis and bad leadership have thwarted the path of development of Angola, resulting from a series of events such as the civil war. The Angolan civil war following independence sank the country into huge debt. In spite of this, Angola is gradually rising from the ruins of the war to becoming a force to reckon with in Africa, particularly within the Southern African region.
