ABSTRACT
This chapter summarizes the book’s contents. It explains that book reveals that generalizations obscure the fact that African states behave much like other states in the global system, and that they produce billions of dollars in capital accumulation each year that create home-grown millionaires (and a few billionaires) while serving a world economy that craves African products such as chocolate, diamonds, petroleum, caffeinated drugs and the mineral ingredients necessary for mobile phones, computers, and other products.
