ABSTRACT

In “Making Theatre Around the World, and What It Has Taught Me,” the actor/director Avra Sidiropoulou recounts her varied experiences with production around the world that celebrated her convictions about the theatre’s political significance and the ways theatre can recognize various cultures, bring together actors from different backgrounds, and adjust to local conditions and challenges. Uniting and transcending differences among people, she describes herself as “rewarded with the opportunity to inspire, to move, and, ultimately, to transform.”
