ABSTRACT
4725―H.D. a respectable young woman, a native of France, had recently lost her husband who was a Soldier, and being desirous of returning to her own country, applied to the Ambassador for assistance, but not having any documents to prove that she belonged to that country, her application was rejected. The Society immediately paid her expenses to Calais.
