ABSTRACT
Yesterday evening at 7 o’clock a very crowded and respectably attended public meeting was held at the London Tavern, to promote the abolition of the punishment of death, and to adopt special measures for obtaining a commutation of the sentence passed upon the unfortunate Annette Meyers.
