ABSTRACT

Nicola Sharp, born and raised in Bedfordshire, has been a teacher since 2002 and is currently Head of Pedagogy and LGBT+ Champion in a Church of England middle school. Another chapter and another personal account of how young lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and others (LGBT+) people suffer from deep internal struggles related to their identity. The anecdotal evidence is insurmountable, whether or not the minimal data agrees. Nicola explores how we can use our own experiences to improve those of LGBT+ young people and how to embrace our labels.
