ABSTRACT
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC 2018a and 2018b) published revised standards of proficiency for registered Nurses and Nursing Associates, which includes the appropriate utilization of evidence-based infection prevention and control practices, all of which are incorporated in this chapter.
