ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we toggle between the outside perspective on the world humans have created and the inside look at the mind from which this creation has sprung. We notice that as humankind faces existential challenges, people are coalescing around competing narratives about what got us into our predicament and what will help us escape it. We argue that what matters most is not which narrative to choose but instead the way we choose to hold these narratives: spacious enough to allow for cross-pollination and the co-creation of a healthier future for humans and the planet.
