ABSTRACT

The work of radical social re-imagination – at once gritty and adventurous – needs incubation and organizational support. This essay proposes one possible matrix for incubating and supporting it: what I call Creative Futures Conspiracies (CFCs). The work also needs a high level of skill and persistence at creative and often system-level re-imagination. Within a CFC matrix, such re-imaginative work can be challenged forth and guided by key creative-thinking maxims, sketched out in the paper's second half.
