ABSTRACT

This chapter explores how collective processes aimed at the envisioning and co-creation of better futures might be enhanced and made more fruitful through the use of transformative somatic practices—that is, the myriad practices which involve working with the body, through movement, breath, and various forms of focused bodily awareness, to effect transformations in the psyche and to cultivate positive human potentials. Suggestions are offered as to how such practices might help participants in collaborative future-shaping processes to more effectively access their creative capacities and their capacities for harmonious and generative collaboration.
