ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the basic principles and philosophical changes announced by community-based work (CBW). In this way, the stage is prepared for the practical changes that follow from anti-Cartesianism. Without taking seriously this shift in philosophy, projects that strive to become community-based are not likely achieve their goals.
