With the postmodernism era having passed, what comes next? In a word, digimodernism—with all of its vast potential and vast dangers. As Alan Kirby has noted (Kirby, 2009), culture in all its forms has been uploaded, and this represents the new reality. Whereas culture was previously socially constructed, it is now digitally constructed.
