ABSTRACT
When discussing modernism and postmodernism and what might come after, it is relevant to consider the wider social and global context of these streams of thought: modernity and postmoderny. I would like to pick up Schmid’s (2000) questions: Do we need a new modernity? And if so, how should it look like?
