ABSTRACT

Bruce Gordon’s original essay is a mind-bending foray into what, for this analytic theologian, are the strange and whacky lands of quantum physics. 75 Very much of what Gordon asserts and argues are beyond my ken—I simply haven’t the requisite background in physics to understand what is at issue. Nevertheless, Gordon is attempting to do some theological work with respect to the soul and its origins. What I do understand (at least, I think I do) about his argument I take almost all to be false. Gordon’s idealism-cum-traducian-creationism has several theological problems, which I explore below.
