ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on psychosocial content for coach development and education within the Masters context. It specifically explores the importance of educating coaches with regards to working with Masters Athletes (MAs), as well as the ways Masters coaches can engage in professional development (PD) to improve their practice. To equip coaches to optimize their learning across PD settings, instructional strategies (face-to-face and online) used in bespoke coach education programming for coaches of MAs are examined.
