ABSTRACT

The awareness of the public dimension of the family and its socialising and educational function has contributed to the emergence of the positive parenting model, on both policies and research, regarding the implementation of measures for family support. This chapter develops the theoretical and methodological basis for this positive parenting feminist Art Therapy model, and will show its possibilities and scope. The inclusion of a feminist perspective implies a special look at the cultural issues and images created by women, focusing on the improvement of women’s lives and the deconstruction of inequalities. The evaluation and comparative analysis of the different aspects of the Art Therapy intervention developed in author research and the analysis of literature allowed me to draw some conclusions and findings in terms of guidelines and recommendations for practice.
