ABSTRACT

This chapter looks at terrorist and security issues arising out of drone use. It provides an overview of the nature of the threat posed by terrorist and criminal misuse of drones and what is being done to prevent these types of attacks. As 9/11 taught us all, the possibility of a catastrophic drone attack would be shocking, but not a surprise. The need for countermeasures to address this clear and present danger is quite obvious but fraught with legal and technological issues that still need to be resolved.
