ABSTRACT

In today’s rapidly changing world the speed of business cycles has significantly increased. Therefore, sustainability has become one of the key factors for long-term business success. Innovating business practices and rapidly adapting to newly occurring environmental threats is commonly seen as a key factor for firms to stay in the market and ahead of the competition (Harvey, 1991). To date business models have been examined mostly from the perspectives of value proposition, value capture, value creation, and delivery. This study proposes value capture from a different perspective. Much of the resource-based view literature focuses on the concept of value capture (Barney, 1986; Collis & Montgomery, 1995). Accordingly, it’s aimed to point out the role of talent management in capturing value and providing affective commitment of the employees and their turnover intentions. Moreover, we also wanted to emphasize the differences in talent management in two different cultures: Italy and Turkey.
