ABSTRACT
There are three sources of Karaite law and they are based on the central tenet “Search the Scripture well and do not rely upon my opinion.” Karaite literature spans over a thousand years and its interpretations evolved over time. These interpretations reflect significant differences from rabbinic Judaism that reflect on issues in Jewish ritual and practice.
