“Money, money, money …”

Kant has not written much on money and this subject has also been quite neglected in Kant-scholarship. This chapter aims to bring together Kant’s scattered remarks on money, in his moral philosophy, his philosophy of law and his anthropology. It then tries to come to a synthetic understanding of Kant by using Aristotle’s distinction between the natural and the unnatural, “chrematistical”, processes in economics.
