ABSTRACT

Sarah Glück’s reflection focuses on making and using all of the maps that make up Situational Analysis (SA) as part of her research on the governance of energy research policies in the European Union (EU). Glück reflects on bringing a new method to this field of research. She also considers the benefits of SA for exploring power dynamics, with a focus on implicated actors. She also makes a strong case for SA among researchers who are visual learners and/or researching complex situations.
