ABSTRACT
This chapter outlines key factors for consideration when questioning persons with autism in police and court settings. This chapter will explore some of the characteristics of autism and how these may present in the forensic investigative interview context. This chapter will then outline key recommendations when questioning an individual with autism in forensic contexts, providing a checklist of areas which needs to be taken into consideration (see Table 5.1: Checklist for interviewing individuals with autism).
