All too often, a producer will work on the rundown all day, only to have to throw it out at the last minute because of breaking news. Chapter 7: Breaking News and Live Shots teaches producers how to handle breaking news both in and out of the control room. It also covers building live shots into the rundown, and how to effectively communicate with crews live in the field.
